The
Short Version of the PARacingOnline.com
Story
PARacingOnline.com was originally
started as PARacingNews.net in 2003. The
site was built around covering
motorsports news throughout the state of
Pennsylvania as well as the state's
drivers and quickly became the online
leader in motorsports coverage for the
state. Covering all forms of motorsports
including asphalt circle track, dirt
track, kart racing, drag racing, and
even motocross, the site had a large
following reaching motorsports fans all
over America. In 2007, at the peak of
the site's popularity, life's priorities
forced the site's owner Garry Ankrom to
bring the site down.
In
2008, with local racing needing an
outlet that had the reach of
PARacingNews.net, the decision was made
to bring the site back to what it once
was. An effort was made to reclaim the
domain name, which was snatched up
quickly once it originally expired.
Unable to obtain the original domain
name, Garry Ankrom moved on and formed
PARacingOnline.com. In an effort to free
up some time for the business end of the
site, a development firm was hired to
create the new site. The new site came
online in August of 2008, but was very
hard to use, and had repeated technical
issues. Again, the site was brought
down.
Now,
with a better plan in place, and more
energy and enthusiasm, the site has been
redesigned, with all design and
development coming from Garry Ankrom
himself. The goal of this site, our
mission if you will, is to once again be
the online leader in Pennsylvania
motorsports coverage. With the site
offering unique content that goes beyond
press releases, driver, track promoters,
and most importantly, fans will find
PARacingOnline.com offers them the one
place where they can be in contact with
one another, find upcoming events, and
even gain technical knowledge about
everything from car set up tips to
marketing help. |
